A wall tapestry made in Oaxaca is inspired by the ocelot, a sacred animal associated with strength and energy in many Mesoamerican cultures, as well as a connection with nature and vitality. The circles and vivid colors evoke the patterns of the ocelot's skin and the natural pigments used in pre-Hispanic times.

DETAILS

Crafted on a backstrap loom, using naturally dyed and sun-dried wool, this piece employs an ancestral technique. The fringes are also made of brushed cotton to give a polished finish. 

Made of 100% wool, dyed with natural pigments.
